Continental Adjusters is a 25-year-old Public Insurance Adjusting Firm headquartered in Dallas, Texas, with additional offices in Kansas City, Atlanta and Cleveland, representing policyholders in complex multi-million-dollar commercial losses. Continental Adjusters services over 30 states and works internationally with policyholders in an effort to maximize and expedite their insurance claim. Continental Adjusters annually handles hundreds of large commercial claims across the country and worldwide. Our firm's cutting-edge technology, in-house specialists and decades of experience make us leaders in the public insurance industry.

MEET OUR TEAM

  • Steve Mayor

    Co-Founder, Senior Public Adjuster

    Steve co-founded Continental Adjusters in 1999.  His expertise in managing and settling claims is unequaled in the industry.  He is licensed as a Public Adjuster in 30 states and territories, including Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Steve manages over 200 commercial claims per year.  Steve manages and constructs settlements on behalf of Continental’s clients valued in excess of $100,000,000.00. 

    Steve has served as an Expert Witness in multiple cases throughout his extensive career.  He is a member of the Texas Association of Public Insurance Adjusters (TAPIA) as well as the National Association of Public Insurance Adjusters (NAPIA).  Steve attended Texas A&M, the Leadership Institute in Washington D.C., and Leonard’s Institute in Dallas, Texas. Now in to his fourth decade as a Public Adjuster, Steve still enjoys the challenges of the job. He values family get-togethers at the lake, attending college games at Baylor University and is an avid cruiser.
  • Doug Morris

    Co-Founder, Senior Public Adjuster

    Doug co-founded Continental Adjusters in 1999. As a Licensed Public Adjuster in 11 states as well as Puerto Rico, Doug engages new clients, contributing to 200 property claims annually. He held numerous positions in the insurance industry leading to his vast knowledge and expertise that have supported him for 34 years as a public adjuster.

    He has been a member of the National Association of Public Insurance Adjusters (NAPIA) since 1999 and served as President of the Texas Association of Public Adjusters (TAPIA). Doug attended Hardin Simmons University and Leonard’s Institute in Dallas, Texas. Doug enjoys spending time with his wife and family at Lake Texoma and is an avid golfer.
  • Alan Jaffa

    Managing Partner

    Alan Jaffa is the Managing Partner of Continental Adjusters LLC. Alan oversees a family of corporations based in a variety of industries including property services, insurance services, public adjusting, and more. Under Alan’s leadership, many of these corporations have grown significantly through strategies that have included new and expanded services, technology investments that deliver higher quality and greater efficiency to daily operations, and strategic acquisitions. Alan takes a team approach to process improvement, involving staff at all levels of an organization to address issues, brainstorm solutions, and identify new and better ways to serve clients.

    In 2008, Alan was recognized by Crain’s Cleveland Business in its annual “40-Under-40” profile of young leaders. He was also named a NEO Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® Award finalist in 2013.
  • Grant Staking

    Vice President – Regional Director

    Grant Staking is an accomplished Public Adjuster Executive whose expertise has been utilized by clients across the nation and in many different industries. He is known among his peers for being able to implement creative solutions and defining clear strategic paths to enable positive outcomes to some of the most complex insurance claims. Grant has been involved in recovering hundreds of millions of dollars in claim payments on behalf of his clients in industries such as commercial real estate, agriculture manufacturing, high-end residential, resorts, restaurants and cyber to name a few. He believes strongly that transparency is paramount in the claims process, between the client, the insurance broker, and the other possible outside advisors on the claim. Grant interfaces with many brokers in both Insurance and Commercial Real Estate, Lenders, Attorneys, CPAs, Risk Managers, C-Suite Executives, and more. He is involved in the community and is also active in many associations.
  • Gary Allen

    Executive Vice President

    As Executive Vice President of Continental Adjusters, Gary’s focus is business development, marketing and research for the company. He brings to the table a long history of business-building and consultancy services driven by accuracy and transparency. Gary has an extensive background in institutional real estate advisory, management and workouts with experience in business development, capital structure, contract negotiations and project management.

    Since 1985, his real estate transaction experience totals over $20 billion in transactions through roles as a principal, advisor, account manager and lead project manager, as well as in business development. His clientele includes Pension Funds, REITS, Government Agencies, Condo/Home Owner Associations, Developers, Private and Public School Systems, Hospitals/Healthcare Organizations, Multi Family, Commercial, Hospitality, Industrial and Retail Properties, NGO’s, Engineering Firms and Law Firms.

    Before joining Continental Adjusters, Gary served as a principal at a real estate and business advisory firm where his responsibilities included raising capital, acquisitions dispositions, generating new sales, project management and operations. Gary graduated from Southern Methodist University with a Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate and Finance and is a US Navy Veteran.
  • Linda Erkkila

    General Counsel

    Linda Erkkila is General Counsel for Continental Adjusters. Linda’s broad scope of oversight covers regulatory issues that impact operations, risk mitigation, strategic planning, compliance, insurance, and litigation and claims management. She has deep experience with managing corporate insurance portfolios, regulatory requirements, litigation and merger, and acquisition activity. Linda enjoys opportunities to expand into new industries and markets and leveraging her Linda 25 years of practice as both outside and in-house counsel to find effective and efficient solutions and strategies for corporate matters.

    Linda earned her JD at Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. She holds a degree in economics from Miami University as well as an MBA.
  • Jerry Bird

    Senior Public Adjuster/Estimator

    Jerry is a licensed senior public adjuster with over 30+ years of experience. With a lifetime of hands-on involvement in varied construction, mitigation, environmental and insurance-related experience on small to mega construction and insurance projects, Jerry utilizes his background to add up maximize Client’s estimates during the claims process. He prides himself on staying abreast of the newest technology within the industry to ensure that Continental Adjusters continues maximize insurance claims for their clients. Jerry holds three Engineering degrees from major universities. He started his career at Continental Adjusters in 2009. Jerry enjoys the outdoors, and vacationing with family and his grandkids.
  • Kenny Bird

    Senior Public Adjuster/Estimator

    Kenny has been gaining experience in the industry since 2008. With a background in construction, mitigation, environmental and insurance-related industries, he can add significant value to any property claim presented to Continental Adjusters. Kenny excels at researching new technologies within the industry to allow Continental Adjusters to provide the highest level of service to their clients. Kenny started his career with Continental Adjusters in 2017. Kenny loves the outdoors, family and coaching in his spare time.
  • Jennifer Anspach

    Chief Financial Officer

    Jennifer Anspach is the Chief Financial Officer at Continental Adjusters. As a seasoned forensic accountant with over 30 years of experience, she oversees all financial operations with precision and strategic insight. Her expertise includes financial planning, risk management, and financial reporting. Jennifer combines an extensive knowledge of accounting principles and advanced investigative skills to oversee a team of public adjusters dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of integrity in the field. Known for her collaborative leadership style, Jennifer works closely with the executive team to optimize financial performance and drive business success.

    Jennifer is a graduate of Youngstown State University.
  • Brook Boswell

    Senior Public Adjuster

    Having started his insurance career as a Commercial Property & Casualty Agent/Broker & Risk Manager, Brook has a vast knowledge of policy structures and coverage application. In 2019, after 16 years as an insurance agent, Brook pivoted to client representation as a Public Adjuster. Having seen the disconnect between what is promised when placing coverage and how that coverage is applied when a business is most vulnerable, he is dedicated to policy holders receiving a full and fair settlement.

    For nearly five years Brook built the North Texas and regional operations with another PA firm that was limited to assigned territories before joining Continental Adjusters in the spring of 2024, where he works with clients throughout the US and internationally.

    Prior to his twenty plus years of commercial insurance experience, he worked in industrial supply sales for large manufacturing concerns and defense contractors, as well as built a large commercial food service and vending company.

    When not helping insureds with challenging insurance claims, Brook enjoys time with his wife of 30 years and his 3 kids and one son-in-law, and anticipating new adventures once his future grandkids arrive.
  • Ryan Roberts

    Sales Support Administrator

    Ryan plays a pivotal part of the Continental Adjusters team as the Sales Support Administrator role. Ryan’s job responsibilities include organizing and maintaining all lead generation, marketing material, and distribution of all time critical information to support the sales team, ensuring maximum efficiency for all team members. Ryan spent four years in the United States Navy and completed his service as a Cryptologic Technician Collective 1st Class. He will be finishing his Bachelor of Business Studies in Accounting degree at Dallas Baptist University in the fall of 2024.
  • Wendi Schneider

    Business Operations Manager

    Wendi Schneider serves as the Business Operations Manager at Continental Adjusters, bringing over 4 years of experience in the public insurance industry. Wendi oversees operational efficiency across all departments, leveraging her expertise to optimize business operations and ensure quality standards are met and procedures are followed throughout the company.

    Wendi maintains a strong track record in multiple areas from reducing costs to fostering a collaborative work environment that promotes efficiency and innovation. Her approach to operations is guided by a passion for problem-solving and excellence, ensuring her work meets the highest standards for every team member and client.

    Outside of her professional career, Wendi enjoys strength training and empowering others through proper nutrition and personal finance. She holds a B.S. in Strategic Communication from the University of Colorado, Boulder
  • Ashley Shepherd

    Marketing Director

    Ashley Shepherd serves as Marketing Director for Continental Adjusters. In her role, she oversees the creation and implementation of innovative marketing strategies to enhance the firm’s visibility and client engagement. Through strategic insights and a creative approach, Ashley utilizes her proficiency in digital marketing, brand development and content creation to continually increase the firm’s online presence and reputation. She works closely with the executive team to align marketing initiatives with the firm’s goals and is passionate about driving growth and building strong client relationships to elevate Continental Adjuster’s market position.

    Ashley graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Marketing.
